Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Kampala → Sipi Falls

  • Scenic 5hr drive through Mbale’s pineapple plantations

  • Evening:

    • Local community welcome ceremony

    • Sunset view of the lowest falls (65m)

  • Overnight at Sipi River Lodge (Eco-cabins with fireplace)

Day 2: Waterfall Circuit Hike

  • Full-Day Trek:

    • Chebonet Falls (75m) – Swim in natural pools

    • Simba Cave exploration

    • Wagagai Falls (85m) – Highest single-drop falls

  • Evening: Coffee roasting demonstration

Day 3: Mount Elgon Exploration

  • Morning:

    • Hike to Kapkwai Cave (Ancient rock paintings)

    • Visit hot springs

  • Afternoon:

    • Coffee farm tour (Planting to roasting)

    • Optional abseiling at falls

Day 4: Return to Kampala

  • Sunrise hike to viewpoints

  • Visit local weavers’ cooperative

  • Return via Jinja (Optional Nile stopover)
